What Are the Daily Video Tips?

As an Insider, you receive tips (both in written and video form) sent directly to your inbox each day. At the end of the week, you get a weekly roundup of the tips that you’ve received in case you have missed any. Our video tips walk you through each step of the process, making it easy to follow along with at home.

How to Search Tips

We have an archive of over 1,700 tips on our website, which means you're bound to find tips you haven’t seen yet (especially if you are new to Insider!). If you want to learn more about a certain feature or have a question in mind, you can easily search for any tips we have on the subject. To do this, make sure you're logged in to Insider, and then select Tips from the navigation bar. Under Search Tip Titles, you will see a Search bar. Type in whatever you are looking for. Note: If you want to search our entire video tip archive, you need to make sure you select All, from the list categories here. Note: If you want to search tips in a specific category, select a category and then enter your search term.

How to Watch the Video Tips

Once you’ve selected the tip that you would like to watch, you’ll see the video listed toward the top of the screen and then, beneath that, you’ll see the same tip in written form (complete with screenshots and relevant links). To begin a video tip, simply tap on it and then tap the Play icon.

If you’re logged in to Insider on your iPhone or iPad, you can watch your video in landscape mode by opening Control Center and making sure that Portrait Orientation Lock is off. Then select the Full Screen icon, turn your phone sideways, and press play. Once you’ve finished your video, tap the X icon and proceed to the next video.

How to Print Tips

This is a request we get often and fortunately the solution is simple. If you would like to print a tip from your iPhone, all you have to do is open Safari and select the Share icon. Then scroll down and select Print. Note: In order to print directly from your iPhone or iPad, you must have an AirPrint-compatible printer.

If you would like to print the written portion of the tip from your computer, you will need to select File > Print. Keep in mind that both of these options will print the screenshots along with the text, so be prepared to use a lot of ink. If you want to avoid this, we recommend highlighting the text you want to print and pasting it into the Notes app if you are using your iPhone/iPad, or another text document (such as Microsoft Word) if you are using your computer. If you are using the Notes app on your iPhone or iPad, just paste the text into a new note, tap the Share icon, and select Print. Then just select your printer and tap Print again. If you are using your computer and relying on another text document such as Microsoft Word, then go to File > Print. Once you select your printer, click Print and you are good to go.
