There are nearly as many uses for Bluetooth as there are types of gadgets and electronic accessories: TV, printers, keyboards, stereos, car stereos, portable speakers, stereo headphones, and of course headsets. Unfortunately, iOS (on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch) isn't compatible with all Bluetooth accessories. Only those that use an Apple chip or A2DP can communicate with an iOS device. In addition to Bluetooth headphones, iOS now supports Bluetooth keyboards and A2DP-compatible Bluetooth devices, including portable speakers and stereo headphones. Bluetooth speakers offer an extraordinary convenience. Simply get within 10 yards of them, use Setings/General/BlueTooth to "pair" your iOS device with the speakers, and you're good to go.

Creative Labs ZiiSound D5 ($299, creative.com) is an impressive speaker that gives you a full sound. While wired speakers generally give better sound for the same amount of money, the D5 is nearly the equal of the best similarly priced wired speakers. It measures 3.5 inches high, 16.7 inches wide, and 4.3 inches deep.
