  1. Open the Notes app on your Mac and select the note you want to edit.

    Open the Notes app and select the note you want to edit.
  2. Highlight the text you want to change to a new color. 

    Highlight the text you want to change the font color for.
  3. Click to open the Format menu at the top of the screen.

    Click Format in the menu bar at the top to change the font color.
  4. Mouse over Font and click Show Colors.

    Click Font and then select Show Colors in the Notes app.
  5. Click the color wheel icon at the top of the menu. Now you can click an area on the color wheel to select your desired text color.

    Select a color from the color wheel to change the font to that color.
  6. You can also click the pencil icon at the top of the menu, then click one of the pencils below to change the text to one of these default text colors. 

    Click the colored pencils icon and select a pencil to change the color.
