Black Friday falls on November 25 this year; it’s the perfect time to save money on tech gifts for the holidays. Whether you’re looking for Black Friday iPad deals or Amazon gadgets, there’s plenty of Black Friday specials to go around. Target, in particular, has some of the best Black Friday deals this year, with Best Buy and Walmart tying for second. Amazon will feature its Echo at a great deal and cut back on tablet prices for Black Friday too. From iPhone and iPads to Apple Watches and the Amazon Echo, here’s the best deals you can expect on tech for Black Friday 2016.
Target, Best Buy, and Walmart all have great deals ready to go for Black Friday. Amazon also has fantastic deals, and the company has announced it will release Black Friday deals through December 22, with new deals coming during the entire month. Under each category below, I’ll only give the best deal of the four. If the deals are comparable, I will mention all of the companies with similar deals. After that, I’ll cover some miscellaneous items like fitness trackers and iTunes Gift Cards with the best deals I’ve found for them. Let’s get started.
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
Target: When you sign up and activate a payment or lease plan with one of the major carriers (Verizon, Sprint, etc.), you can get the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus for $0 down at Target. Not only that, you’ll receive a $250 gift card to Target. If you’re planning on paying for a new iPhone over many months anyway, you might as well get it from Target and receive that awesome gift card.
Best Buy: Best Buy has nearly the same deal on the iPhone 7, but you can’t get the iPhone 7 Plus. The amount of the gift card will also vary based on the amount of storage you get on your iPhone.
Walmart: Get ANY model of iPhone from Walmart when you sign up for AT&T Next or Verizon payment plan on your iPhone, plus get a store gift card for $250. If you need a new phone, but not the latest phone, this is a great deal.
Apple Watch Series 1 & 2
Target: If you’re looking to get the latest Apple Watch, you’ll still shell out $369.99 to purchase the watch at Target for Black Friday. However, that’s a thirty dollar savings off the Apple retail price; so it’s not a huge savings but it’s something. Now, if you want to buy the Apple Watch Series 1, that’s a different story. You can get the Apple Watch Series 1 for just $198, saving you $71.99. The original Apple Watch is still a great model, and getting it for only $200 is a great deal.
iPads
Target: The iPad Air 2 will go for $274, saving you $125.99 off the regular price. Have you been waiting to get the iPad Pro? This may be your chance to save some serious cash on it. The iPad Pro 9.7-inch will start at $449, saving you a whopping $150.99 off the regular price. Best Buy is offering deals as well, albeit less attractive deals than Target.
Walmart: Target is offering a deal on the iPad mini, but Walmart has a better deal on the iPad mini 2. You can get it (32GB) for $199, saving you $70 off the regular price.
Apple TV: All Models
Target: Target is offering 25 percent off any model of Apple TV. Target’s ad doesn’t give a specific price; it simply says 25 percent off all models for Black Friday. Doing the math, that means a 32GB fourth generation Apple TV (regular $149) would be about $112.
FitBit Charge HR
Target: Save $40 on the FitBit Charge HR at Target. A regular $129.99, this is Target’s lowest price for the FitBit Charge HR ever at just $89.99. If you’ve been waiting to get a fitness tracker at a great deal, here’s one solid option. Amazon Echo
Amazon: Get Amazon’s home assistant Echo with Alexa Voice Service for doing everything from ordering takeout to playing music at just $139.99 for Black Friday. Regular $179.99, you’ll save $40 off the price.
Amazon Fire 7" 8GB Wi-Fi tablet
Target, Best Buy, & Amazon: Amazon Fire is one of the most affordable tablets you can get. Get an extra $16 off the already reasonable price of $49.99 this Black Friday. Target, Best Buy, & Amazon will be selling the 7-inch 8GB Wi-Fi tablet model for only $33.33 while supplies last. Or you can get the 16GB model for $59.99 from Best Buy or Amazon if you need the extra storage.
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
Target & Amazon: Need a gift for the avid reader? The Kindle Paperwhite will be $20 off at Target for Black Friday. The regular price is $129.99, but you can get it for just $99.99 this holiday season.
iTunes Gift Cards
Target & Best Buy: Need an easy gift or stocking stuffer? When you buy one iTunes gift card, you’ll get 30% off the second gift card. That’s a great deal, especially if you’re buying the gift cards for yourself.
