How to Rearrange & Organize Albums in the iPad & iPhone Photos App
Want to rearrange your albums in Apple's Photos app on your iPhone or iPad? Here's how to organize your photo albums into the order you like best; it's easy!


When you make a photo album on your iPhone, the Photos app automatically sorts that picture album in the Albums tab in order of when the album was created. You can rearrange the order your albums appear in the Albums tab by holding and dragging your albums inside the Photos app. Read on to learn how to organize photos by rearranging how your albums appear in the Photos app.

How to Rearrange & Organize Photo Albums in the Photos App on Your iPhone & iPad

For more great tutorials on how to use your Photos app, check out our free Tip of the Day. Now, let's learn how to rearrange your photo albums in Apple's Photos app. To begin:
- Open the Photos app.
- Tap Albums.
- Tap See All.
- Tap Edit in the upper right-hand corner.
- Scroll through the gallery until you find the album you want to move. (Make sure you don't tap the red delete album button!)
- Press and hold the center of your album.
- Continue holding as you drag the album.
- Release your finger to drop the album in its new location.
- When you are finished rearranging your albums, tap Done in the upper right-hand corner.
