Apple opened its first store in Brussels, Belgium, on September 19, and it's a beautiful crossbreed of a classroom and atrium. The new location sports touch-sensor displays built into the tables, a huge screen in the back for displaying the latest devices, and trees.
Like the iPhone, we’ve seen the Apple Store design change over the years. The Brussels store gives us a first look at what to expect in the future. New stores in Nanjing, China, and Florence, Italy also open this week.
To introduce and celebrate, Apple made a video featuring Brussel’s comic artists.
People arrived very early for the opening. In one video, you can see a crowd of people stretched down the city block as Apple employees run out to greet them. The new store employs over a hundred people.
