Update Settings for iPhone Text Notifications Not Working

Sometimes, settings can get accidentally changed or altered, which can change the way your iPhone receives text messages. Try adjusting or checking these settings to see if that is why you are not getting text notifications. Notification Settings

On your iPhone, go to Settings, tap Notifications, and then tap Messages.
Make sure Allow Notifications is toggled on.

Make sure Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners are checked.
Check that you have a Sound selected.

Make sure Badges are turned on to see the little red dot in the corner of your app icon.

Other Settings

Check to make sure your contact is not muted.
Check to make sure you're not in Silent Mode.

Check to make sure you're not in Do Not Disturb or another Focus.
Disconnect from Bluetooth.

Check to make sure you haven't accidentally blocked the contact.
