How to Change Icon in Google Maps to a Google Maps Car Icon

The default navigation icon on Google Maps is a blue arrow, but you can change it to a car icon! Changing the icon to a Google Maps car is a fun way to customize your drive. However, it can also make it easier for you to navigate because seeing an actual car on your screen can help you orient yourself while you drive. 1. Open Google Maps on your iPhone.
   
   
2. Enter a location to navigate to and make sure you select the driving option or this won’t work.
   
   
3. Tap Directions.
   
   
4. Tap Start.
   
   
5. Tap the blue arrow.
   
   
6. You’ll see three car icons at the bottom of the screen.
   
   
7. Tap one to select it.
   
   
8. Your default Google Maps navigation icon is now a car!
   
   

If you close Google Maps and reopen it, you will notice the same car as your navigation icon. To change it to a different car or back to the blue arrow, follow the steps above again.
