It's easy to see moon phases on your iPhone and iPad once you know where to look. Just open the Weather app, and in a few quick steps, you'll see the current, past, and future phases of the moon. Here's how.

  1. Open the Weather app. open the weather app
  2. Scroll down to the moon information. You'll see what phase the moon is on that day, the percentage of illumination, and the next moon rise or moon set. see current moon phase illumination moonrise

  4. You'll see a slider that you can move to the right or left to see the phase of the moon on future or previous days. move slider to right or left to see moon phase
