Review: Compact Apple Watch Travel Charger Also Charges Phone

Kanex offers a nice selection of Apple-specific accessories, and its latest such product is a welcome addition. The GoPower Watch ($99.95) from Kanex charges your Apple Watch on the go as well as another USB-based device, like an iPhone, providing you attach the right cable. The GoPower Watch sports a 4,000 mAh battery ,which will charge your Apple Watch as many as six times.

When it is time to recharge the GoPower Watch, be sure to bring the included microUSB cable, as it doesn't use Lightning. It's compact (about the size of a deck of cards) and has a sleek finish. It's a little pricey but considering it charges both an Apple Watch and another device, it's reasonable.

Pros

  • Compact, about the size of a deck of cards
  • 4,000 mAh of power
  • Built-in Apple Watch charger
  • USB port to charge other device
  • Sleek finish

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Uses microUSB to recharge

Final Verdict

If you travel a lot with an Apple Watch, you could go on a weeklong trip and keep your watch charged without worrying about charging the GoPower Watch.
