How to Set a Volume Limit on Your iPhone

How many times have you put in your headphones and started playing music only to get spooked by how loud your volume was? Luckily, on iPhone, you can set a volume limit to protect your ears or those of your children. Setting your volume limit allows you to choose the maximum amount of sound. Here’s how to set a volume limit on your iPhone.

How to Set a Volume Limit on Your iPhone

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Music.
  • Scroll down to Volume Limit.

  • By default, it will be a maximum. Use your finger and drag the circle to the left to lower your iPhone’s volume limit.

  • To turn Volume Limit off at any time, drag the circle all the way to the right.
