Navigating the airport can be a long and stressful process, especially when it comes to keeping your boarding pass handy. Paper passes can be hard to keep up with and easy to lose and forget. Thankfully, you can access your pass with just a tap of your finger. We will show you how to add your boarding pass to Apple Wallet.

Adding a Boarding Pass in Apple Wallet through an Airline App

Before doing these steps, make sure you have downloaded or updated your airline app. We will be using the United Airlines app for the steps below, but each airline app may vary on steps. If you haven't done so already, create or log in to your account. Then, check in using your name and flight confirmation number. Once complete, you will able to view your boarding pass and itinerary. Then, proceed to the following steps:

1. Open the airline app.
   
   
2. Tap Boarding Pass.
   
   
3. Tap Add to Apple Wallet.
   
   
4. Tap Add.

Adding a Boarding Pass in Apple Wallet through Email

If you've checked in online, make sure you click on the box telling the airline to email your boarding pass to you. If you're using your Apple email address, your boarding pass should already be added to Apple Wallet though your iPhone. If you're using a different email address, follow these steps:

1. On your iPhone, go to your email account.
2. Locate and click on your check in email.
3. At the bottom of the email, open the attachment. 
4. In the attachment, tap Add to Apple Wallet.
   
   
5. Tap Add.
   
     

How to Remove a Boarding Pass from Apple Wallet

Let's say the travel period has passed and that you don't need your boarding pass anymore. What do you do? Here are the steps for deleting a boarding pass from Apple Wallet. 

1. Open the Wallet app.
   
   
2. Tap your boarding pass.
   
   
3. Tap the More icon.
   
    
4. Tap Remove Pass.
   
   
5. To confirm, tap Remove.
