How to Make Font Bigger or Smaller on iPad
There are many reasons why you may want to increase or decrease your text size on your iPad. Luckily, you can access both options via the same steps. If you like tips like this about using Apple devices, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day! Here's how to change font size:
- On your iPad, go to Settings.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Tap Display & Text Size.
- Tap Larger Text.
- From here, you can slide the scale to the right to increase text size or left to decrease the text size.

- For even more size options, tap Larger Accessibility Sizes. It will be green when enabled.
- This will give you more options for even larger text size so you can read your iPad from a mile away!
And that's how you change the size of the font on your iPad. Do note, however, that there may be some apps that don't support these changes and the text size will remain standard. But the good news is that a lot of apps do support this change seamlessly and is a really great way to increase the user-friendliness of your iPad.
