The iOS 18 Mail app update includes new features powered by Apple Intelligence. With Apple Intelligence, you can easily browse your emails and figure out which are the most important without opening them. By enabling message summaries, all of your emails will appear with summaries of the content. Here’s how to enable iOS 18’s summary feature for the Mail app:
- Open the Settings app, and tap Apps.
- Find the Mail app either by scrolling through the list or using the search bar.
- If the toggle next to Summarize Message Previews is not enabled, tap the toggle to enable the feature.
- Now, when you go into the Mail app, look for the summary icon (it looks like two lines, with an arrow underneath, pointing right). This icon indicates you are reading a summary of the email.
