SHIVR 3D Headset: Full-Featured Movie & Gaming Experiences

There's a lot to like about the SHIVR 3D Noise Cancelling Wireless Headset ($169). After successful campaigns on both Indiegogo and Kickstarter, the headset is currently available for pre-order. The unit I received was well-packaged and pretty darn close to final. Speaking of pre-order, it will sell for $199 but can be pre-ordered for $169.

I found them to be quite comfortable, thanks to the ove-ear design. They magically create 3D surround sound despite two earcups, which makes them well suited for watching movies or playing video games. Plus they come with hybrid active noise cancellation, which will help in a noisy work environment or traveling on the subway or airplane. In fact, they include an airplane adapter which can be used with the included 3.5 mm wired audio cable, when not used in wireless mode.

Pros

  • Comfortable over-ear design
  • 3D surround sound
  • Hybrid active noise cancellation
  • Reasonably priced
  • USB-C charging
  • 3.5 mm wired audio cable included
  • Airplane adapter included

Cons

  • Need to pre-order for discount
