You might want to know how to delete your Apple Pay history for a number of reasons: maybe you bought a gift from a recognizable store, or maybe you just don't want your transactions listed out. Whatever the reason, if you're wondering how to delete Apple Cash transactions or Apple Pay history, the answer is: you can't. You can, however, remove the card entirely. There are pros and cons to this, so let's dive in.
How to Delete Transactions on Apple Pay
You cannot delete your Apple Pay transaction history. Whether you use a card or Apple Cash, your transactions are there for the long haul. The only way to remove your Apple Pay transaction history is to delete a card altogether. This means that the card will no longer be in your Wallet or linked to Apple Pay, so you will not be able to use it through those means going forward. You can always add it again, but it's a lot of effort to go through in order to erase your history, so think before you do it. - In your Wallet app, tap the card you want to remove.
- Tap the More icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Card Details.
- Tap Remove Card.
- Tap Remove to confirm.
Your card will no longer appear in your Wallet, nor will your transaction history for that card. However, your future transactions will still show up under whatever new card you are using, so if you want absolutely no record, the only thing to do is not use Apple Pay.
