This tip works on any Face ID-capable device running iOS 16 or later/iPadOS 16 or later.

  1. Open the Settings app, and tap Face ID & Passcode.

  2. Enter your passcode. Tap Done if necessary.

  3. Tap Set Up Face ID.

  4. Tap Get Started, and your iPhone will begin scanning your face.

  5. You'll need to move your face around in a slow circle for your phone to scan different angles of your face.

  6. Next, you’ll have the option to set up Use Face ID with a Mask. If you don’t want to enable this feature, you can tap Set Up Later.

  7. Tap Done.

Now, you can easily unlock your iPhone with your face!
