Review: Nomad's Quality, Rugged Leather AirPods Pro Case

If you own the high-end $250 AirPods Pro, you probably have an affinity for quality accessories. That makes the Rugged Case for AirPods Pro ($34.95) from Nomad an attractive companion as it adds fashion, luxury, and protection at an attractive price.

As with all of Nomad's Horween leather cases, the Rugged Case for AirPods Pro will develop a unique patina over time. The case is available in all black or brown accented with a hard plastic shell around the perimeter. I preferred the all-black model over the two-tone design. Inside the case is a soft microfiber lining for protection with a cutout to allow easy opening and closing.
Nomad also designed a pass-through to allow the charging LED light to show through the case and added a hook to attach a lanyard, but you will need to provide your own.
Pros
- Choice of all black or brown with black accents
- Rigid case with soft microfiber lining for protection
- Charging light shows through the case
- Reasonably priced
- Hook for lanyard attachment
Cons
- Lanyard not included
- Black accents might be distracting in brown case
Final Verdict
The Rugged Case for AirPods Pro is a nice add-on for anyone, but especially for Nomad enthusiasts who like a consistent look and feel for their wireless charging stands, phone cases, Apple Watch bands, and more.
