How to Schedule a FaceTime Call in the Calendar App

This tip was performed on an iPhone 17 Pro Max running iOS 26.4, but it works on iOS 15 and later. Find out how to update to the latest version of iOS.

Here's how to schedule a FaceTime call with the Calendar app on your iPhone and iPad. According to Apple, "You can invite anyone to join you in a FaceTime call, even people who don’t have an Apple device, as long as they have a browser that supports WebRTC (such as the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge). They can join you in one-to-one and Group FaceTime calls from their browser—no login is necessary."

  1. Open the Calendar app. open the calendar app
  2. Tap the + icon in the upper-right corner. tap the plus icon in calendar
  3. Enter a title for your FaceTime call. enter the event title
  4. Tap the date to change it. tap the date to change event date
  5. Choose the event date. tap the event date
  6. Tap the time to change it, if needed. tap time to change the event time
  7. Scroll through the numbers shown to select your start time. scroll to choose the event time
  8. Tap Location or Video Call. tap location or video call
  9. Tap FaceTime. tap facetime
  10. Tap the check mark in the red circle to add the event to your Calendar. You can also customize any other settings as needed before you add the event. tap red check mark to save facetime calendar event
  11. Tap the event you just scheduled. tap event to share facetime link
  12. Tap the Share icon. tap share icon to share event facetime link
  13. Select how you want to share and whom you’d like to share the event with. tap facetime invitation recipient
  14. Tap the send arrow to send the invite. tap the send icon to send facetime link
