Apple One Plans: Cost & Differences
There are three versions of Apple One plans: Apple One Individual, Apple One Family, and Apple One Premier. Below you will find the prices for each plan and what they include:
- Apple One Individual plan ($16.95/month) includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+ with 50GB of storage. This plan cannot be shared with anyone, even if they are in your Family Group.
- Apple One Family plan ($22.95/month) includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+ with 200GB of storage. This plan can be shared with up to five other people in your Family Group.
- Apple One Premier plan ($32.95/month) includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+, and iCloud+ with 2TB of storage. This plan can be shared with up to five other people in your Family Group.
Here is a list of the individual costs of the included services:
- Apple Music:
- Apple Music Student Plan ($5.99/month)
- Apple Music Standard Plan ($10.99/month)
- Apple Music Family Plan ($16.99/month)
- Apple TV+ ($6.99/month)
- Apple Arcade ($4.99/month)
- iCloud+:
- 50GB of storage ($0.99/month)
- 200GB of storage ($2.99/month)
- 2TB of storage ($9.99/month)
- Apple News+ ($9.99/month)
- Apple Fitness+ ($9.99/month)
If you pay for several of these subscriptions individually, getting Apple One might save you money. For example, I'm paying $32.95/month for Apple One Premier which I can share with up to five people instead of paying $48.95/month for Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News, and Apple Fitness plus individually.
Pro Tip:
These Apple subscription bundles are a great way to enjoy multiple services for a discounted price. The shared plans are a fantastic way to save money if you have several family members to share them with. If you are considering the Premier plan primarily for Apple Fitness Plus Family Sharing, please keep in mind that it requires an Apple Watch Series 3 or later paired with an iPhone 6s or later running the latest software.
FAQ:
- Is Apple One worth it? It depends! If you pay for multiple Apple subscriptions, you might be able to save a lot of money by getting Apple One, especially since you can share it with up to five family members.
- What is the benefit of Apple One? One of my favorite things about Apple One is that it includes 2TB of storage which costs $9.99/month on its own.
- What is the downside to Apple One? It can be tempting to get Apple One to get access to all of Apple's subscriptions even if you might not actually use them which could end up being a waste of money.
