What's Your Favorite Antique Tech?
Happy Sunday, Reader,
Now that iPhone Life Summer Camp is over, our team is back to work helping you stay up-to-date with the newest Apple tech. The iOS 16 public beta just came out, so we've got a lot of great new content for you, focusing on all the new features from Apple's latest iPhone operating system. Last week I shared a video of our founder, Hal Goldstein, teaching the people of 1988 how to use their HP Portable and Portable Plus computers, so we've been doing this for a long time. This trip down memory lane got us thinking: we spend so much time thinking about today's newest tech, but what about all the great devices of yesteryear, before we all carried supercomputers around in our pockets?
What is the first computer you remember using? What's the first device that made you fall in love with tech gadgets? Did you have a car phone? Were you on the cutting edge with a giant brick of a cell phone in the '80s? What about the original Apple Macintosh? Really, we want to know! Or at least, I do. Drop me a line at elisabeth@iphonelife.com, and your answer might appear in an upcoming magazine article.
While you're thinking about your tech history, don't forget to keep up with the tech present: this week, we've got tips for you on a more convenient way to use Apple Pay, three ways to reject phone calls, and more. I'll see you next week!
