A lot of photo collage apps are popping up, and RealTimes (free) is the newest of the bunch. The app automatically makes 15-to-30-second videos using your iPhone’s photos and videos.
RealTimes finds photos and videos for your stories from your phone and caps you at a certain amount. You choose your filters, change the length, change the title, add a descriptio,n and change the music to your video. If you want to add more content, you have to pay $0.99 to upgrade the app to the premium version.
The app is pretty extensive without buying the premium version, though. You can add your own music, record a voice-over as your song, and edit your photos right in the app. You can also add text right on a picture in the sequence.
I started out giving RealTimes full access to my photos and videos, and the app placed photos together with the geolocation information, so all the trips I had recently taken had photos together. Since I didn't want to spend much time editing, I took what RealTimes had to offer and pressed play. The story was funny and made use of all my pictures from my last trip. I had a video in about 30 seconds, which is perfect for me.
If you want to share your collage, RealTimes will share the video via email, message, WhatsApp, Facebook, or Twitter. Users can also copy the link to send it to their friends. The link will take a little while to generate, as the video has to upload to RealTimes' servers.
Pros
- Simple to use and easy to set up. Just allow RealTimes the permissions it needs to work properly, and you will have a bunch of new video packages to choose to share.
Cons
- It only takes photos and videos from your phone, so if you’re looking for social integration, you’ll have to use a different app.
Final Verdict
RealTimes is a simple way to make a photo slideshow to send to your friends and share on the internet. If you’re looking for a fun way to do so, RealTimes works.
