CES in Las Vegas is a giant annual convention featuring the latest in consumer tech. Product trends span the field from virtual reality and electric cars, to personal drones and wearable tech. Since I haven’t mastered being in multiple places at once, I decided to put a video roundup together to showcase what’s happening across the CES floor. Here’s five videos featuring new tech that expands the reach of possibilities and showcases where the 2016 focus will be.
Let’s begin with Faraday Future’s reveal. This electronic car won’t see roads for a couple more years, but the company is aligned with partners in China where air pollution is a major problem. It’s a single person, self driving car that people are already coining the batmobile.
Samsung debuted its new Book 9 at CES and it looks eerily similar to the latest Apple Macbook. However, it’s incredibly light. This Youtuber compared it to holding a tablet, because Samsung got rid of all unnecessary weight. Battery life comes up as a concern, but overall I’m happy to see laptop standards across the industry raising.
Check out this action-following drone called the AirDog. It’s designed for extreme action sports and has loads of sensors to accurately follow and record your movement, whether that’s snowboarding, skating, biking, etc. Digital Trends gave the drone a try away from the convention floor; watch the drone’s mountain biking footage below.
Last but not least, The Kim Komando Show features the 5 coolest things they saw on day one. The video highlights virtual reality technology and quickly covers some of the varying companies who’ll release VR tech this year. Wearable tech is another major player at this year’s convention, including the first Smart bra and Feel, emotion tracking bracelet.
