1. Charge Your AirPods

3. How to Clean Your AirPods' Microphone

Before moving on to more involved fixes, check to see if your AirPods' microphone looks clogged or dirty. This can make the AirPods and AirPods Pro mic muffled or not work altogether. 1. Open Settings, and tap AirPods.

3. Make sure Automatically Switch AirPods is selected.

6. Reset & Reconnect Your AirPods

One last thing to try before throwing the towel in is to reset your AirPods before reconnecting them to a device.

1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, close the lid, and leave them there for 30 seconds.
2. On your iPhone, go to Settings and tap your AirPods.
   
   
3. Scroll down and tap Forget This Device.

6. With the lid of your AirPods' charging case open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the charging case until the status light flashes amber, then white.
7. With the lid open, hold your charging case near your iPhone.
8. A "Not Your AirPods" notification should pop up on your screen. Tap Connect.
   
   
9. Follow the instructions on-screen.
10. When your AirPods are reconnected to your iPhone, tap Continue.
