How to Set Up Apple Cash Family on Your iPhone

If you've set up Family Sharing for your family group, you can use Apple Cash Family to set up Apple Cash for your children. This way, your kids can send and receive money in Messages and make purchases.

Getting Started with Apple Cash Family

Make sure you've got every you need to set up Apple Cash Family.

• You need to be the family organizer that set up Family Sharing for your group.
• Sign in with the same Apple ID that you used when you set up Family Sharing.
• You and your group members need to have a compatible iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or watchOS.
• Your family members need to sign in to iCloud on their device with their Apple ID.
• Each member needs to turn on two-factor authentication.
• Each device needs to be set to the United States.

1. Open the Settings app.
   
   
    
2. Tap your name in the banner at the top, then tap Family Sharing.
   
   
    
3. Tap the child's name that you want to set up Apple Cash for.
   
   
    
4. Tap Set Up Apple Cash.
   
   
    
5. Tap Continue.
   
   
    
6. Follow the instructions on screen; you may need to verify your identity. 
7. Tap Done to initiate card activation.
   
   
    
8. You'll see Pending next to your child's name.
   
   
    
9. After approval, you'll see On next to your child's name.
