How to Save Text in a Quick Note on iPhone

At first, I wasn't sure how useful the Quick Note feature would be. But now, the ease with which I can quickly save things has really made Quick Notes an invaluable part of the Notes app. I'll show you how you can save text from a website or an image to Quick Notes so you can bookmark all the information you want without having to click out the app you're using.

How to Use Quick Notes to Save Text from a Website

You can use Quick Notes to save text from multiple places. I'll walk you through how to save text to a Quick Note from a website or an image. For more cool tips and tricks about using your Apple Devices, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day!

This tip will only work with iOS 16 or later, so make sure you have updated to the latest version of iOS before you begin. The steps below will work on Safari, but you can save text from other web browsers using the method in the next section. Here's how to save text to Quick Note via a website.

1. On the web, navigate to the text you'd like to save to a Quick Note.
   
   
2. Tap and hold the text and then drag the cursors to highlight the portion you'd like to save.
   
   
3. Tap the arrow on the right of the menu. (You may need to tap it more than once.)
   
   
4. Tap New Quick Note.
   
   
5. A Quick Note will appear with the website link. Tap Save to save the note.
   
   

How to Use Quick Notes to Save Text from an Image

If you want to save text from an image or photo to Quick Notes, be sure the photo is saved to your camera roll first.

1. Locate an image in your Photo Library with text that you'd like to save.
   
   
2. Tap and hold the text on the image and then drag the cursors to highlight the portion you'd like to save to a Quick Note.
   
   
3. Tap the arrow on the right of the menu.
   
   
4. Tap Share.
   
   
5. Tap Add to New Quick Note.
   
   
6. Tap Save.
   
   

And that's how you create Quick Notes out of text! This is one of my favorite ways to get recipes online, as well as save quotes from images I found online that I'd like to organize for later use. Hopefully, you find this tip helpful as well. Happy notetaking!
