Before iOS 11 changed the layout of Control Center, the AirDrop options were clearly visible within Control Center. With iOS 11, AirDrop is still there but hidden. If you’re wondering what happened to AirDrop, we’ll help you locate it. AirDrop in Control Center is where you choose who can find you and send you things via AirDrop. Of course, even if anyone can find you, you still have the option to decline. But it’s good to know where AirDrop has disappeared to in Control Center with iOS 11. Here’s how to find AirDrop in iOS 11 on iPhone.

How to Find AirDrop in iOS 11
-
Open Control Center.
-
On iPhone X, swipe down from the top right of your screen.
-
On every other model of iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of your screen.
-
- 3D Touch or long press the Wi-Fi icon. This will open up a whole other menu that reveals quick access to your Personal Hotspot and, of course, AirDrop.
- Tap on AirDrop. Select who can find and send you stuff via AirDrop: Receiving Off, Contacts Only, or Everyone.
I generally leave AirDrop on Everyone, because rarely is someone near me trying to send me something they haven’t discussed sending to me. And by setting it to Everyone, I never really need to change this setting. But of course, you’ll want to select the option that works best for you.
