The EatOkra restaurant app has teamed up with Apple to create a guide in the Maps app. Now, you can find Black-owned restaurants all around the country, including NYC, New Orleans, Seattle, Portland, Detroit, and more.

How To Find Black-Owned Restaurants Near You on Your iPhone

As part of its Black History Month offerings, Apple is making it easier to support Black-owned restaurants using guides in Apple Maps. If you're interested in more ways to support Black-owned businesses this month and all year, we've written about the best apps to support Black-owned businesses and created a roundup of apps from Black developers. For more tips on how to use Apple Maps, check out our free Tip of the Day. Now, let's use the Maps app to find Black-owned restaurants.

1. Open the Maps app.
   
   
    
2. Tap the Search field.
   
   
    
3. Scroll down and tap the EatOkra guide.
   
   
    
4. Scroll down to peruse the guide. To find more Black-owned restaurants near you, download the EatOkra app.
5. Tap Save Guide so you can refer to it whenever you like, or Share to send it to a friend.
