How to Use Apple Image Playground

Even if you’re not much of an artist, you can now create artwork in seconds by using Apple Intelligence. Image Playground on iOS 18 utilizes the power of Apple Intelligence to generate images from scratch. Here’s how to use the Image Playground app:

1. Open the Playground app.
   
   
2. You have a few options here. First off, you can tap the text box to describe an image yourself.
   
   
3. Once you type your description, tap the send button. For this example, I typed, “A robot standing in a forest holding a bird in its hands.”
   
   
4. Apple Intelligence will generate a few different options. You can swipe left and right to see the other images.
   
   
5. Tap Done when you are finished, and the image will be added to your Image Playground library.
   
   
6. Alternatively, when generating a new image, you can tap Show More (or swipe left) under Suggestions.
   
   
7. You can select a few different Themes to create your image.
   
   
8. Tap the minus icon to remove a theme.
   
   
9. Just like before, Apple Intelligence will generate a few different options. Swipe left and right to see the other images.
   
   
10. Tap Done to add the image to your library.
