The iPhone camera can take breathtaking photos. But as your digital photo storage fills up, it can be easy to forget or lose some of those captured memories. Outside of posting them on social media or printing them out for an old-school photo album, there are many surprisingly fun ways to enjoy your favorite photos on a more regular basis.
Set Up a Digital Photo Frame
If you enjoy scrolling through your Photos app or flipping through physical albums, you will love a digital photo frame! They can usually be mounted or come with a kickstand and come in many sizes and styles. You can add your photos via an SD or mini SD card, phone app, or even via email. Sharing photos to the frame through email is by far my favorite method because I can share the address with loved ones and be pleasantly surprised by their photo contributions.
Digital photo frames sell for as little as $17, but the better-known brands are more costly: the Pix-Star costs $139+, and the Aura Mason Luxe costs $199. My go-to for personal use and to give as a gift is the Canupdog Store WiFi 10.1” Digital Frame for $49.99.
Print Photos on Clothes & Accessories
There are many companies that create custom photo shirts, bags, hats, and other clothing and accessory items for you. It is also possible to design them yourself using websites such as Printful and Printify. I personally use Printful because it is easy to connect to an Etsy store if you wish to sell your clothing, and it gives you 20% off for up to three items once a month to test your products at a discount.
Since iPhones have built-in features to edit photos and even remove the background to isolate the subject, you can easily create the perfect image for your custom clothing. I have designed dresses, t-shirts, aloha shirts, leggings, and hats featuring iPhone photos of my furbabies. I get compliments every time I wear them and cannot wait for an occasion to create more custom clothing for reunions, anniversaries, and other occasions. Printiful also lets you create custom photo stickers, flags, puzzles, and more standard artwork for your home.
If you are a crafter, consider looking into sublimation. With the right printer, ink, paper, and heat press, you can print photos at home and transfer them onto clothes or objects such as teacups, earrings, coasters, car air fresheners, phone cases, blankets, etc.
Create a Daily Photo Calendar
The ritual of tearing off a page from a calendar every day can be a lot of fun, especially when each new day reveals a new photograph! I made a daily custom photo calendar with Social Print Studio (on sale for $56.95), and it was a really fun project to create and enjoy all year. Plus, the prints are high quality enough to keep pinned to a corkboard, stuck to a fridge, and used for journaling.
While Social Print Studio makes it really simple to pick your template and starting date and upload the photos, it is still quite the task to find 365 photos. I spent an entire day finding the images, editing them, and matching them up to my preferred dates, and it was worth every second to see my husband react to the gift.
Your iPhone photos are way too good to view on a tiny phone display. Seeing them on a digital photo frame, a daily calendar, or a comfortable t-shirt is a much better way to enjoy your favorite memories, people, and animals.
